Living and Painting in the Northwest
Pencil drawing has been a passion since accidentally discovering this hidden talent in high school. I continued to draw in pencil while raising my two boys in Sun Valley, Idaho. A pad of paper and a pencil fit perfectly into the camper or a day pack. It wasn’t until years later and on a whim, I took a pastel class from Doris Jean Colvin. My work exploded into full, brilliant color.
The pastel community is truly generous and I am blessed to have the mentoring and friendship of many champions including Susan Glendenning and Eileen Sorg.
My paintings are usually hung where people can linger…coffee shops, and local galleries around the region. Currently my work can be viewed at Pet Works and Jessica Jensen Law in Olympia, Washington. In Joseph, Oregon my horses are hanging in Red Horse Coffee Roasters and my landscapes can be seen hanging in the rustic Josephy Center for Arts and Culture.
Living and painting in the Pacific Northwest has only fueled my passion. Hiking and camping in Washington, Oregon and Idaho has brought me face to face with nature.
